Jacksonville Junior Shaggers Events

All Jacksonville Junior Shaggers events are free for the juniors. 

Weekly Junior Shag Lessons on Wednesdays from 5:30-6:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall at The Springs Church, 900 Park Ave., Orange Park, FL 32073. Register by going to the Family Dance Class - The Springs Church- Jacksonville FL .

Pool Party with Lessons in the summer (TBA).

Juniors are welcome at these regular First Coast Shag Club (FCSC) events:

Intermediate and Beginner Lessons Tuesdays at the Ortega River Club, 4165 Lakeside Drive, Jacksonville, FL 32210, phone 1-904-755-9158. The intermediate Lesson starts at 7 pm, and the Beginner Lesson starts at 7:30 pm. The lessons are free, but there is a $5 entry fee for those who are not members of Ortega River Club. The entry fee is waived for Junior Shaggers. (Must be accompanied by an adult over 21.)

Trip to Junior SOS in North Myrtle Beach, SC

Each year we accompany a group of Junior Shaggers and their families to Junior SOS in North Myrtle Beach, SC. We also raise funds to assist families who wouldn't otherwise be able to attend.  

The next Junior SOS is scheduled for July 12-18, 2026.
